A day or two

It's the worst when you can tell they opened the evite over a week ago and haven't responded at all.

Yep, that happened to us once. And then they responded a day before the party that they couldn't come because they observe the Sabbath. As a general rule, if I don't hear from you in a reaosonable manner I think you will decline anyway.

If it's a known friend of the child, or I know I have a clear conflict, I respond either way immediately. Otherwise, I try to respond within a few days as I make scheduling decisions.

But I received Memorial Day weekend evites 6+ weeks in advance for children we barely know. Honestly, I'm going to wait until it gets closer to see what our other plans are. I would rather get together with family friends or family than have our entire family's schedule revolve around one more Bounce U party for an acquaintance. (sorry!)

I respond by the RSVP date. usually the night before.

I'll be honest. I do it right away or I forget about it and do it much too late. I will open it and think that I have to check the calendar, but then I get busy with work, etc. and forget to check. It has nothing to do with liking or not liking the host. I just get very busy. I don't mean to be rude and I really try to remember.

Same here. As a host, I find the "maybe" replies useless, and I don't bother with them as a guest.

If not right away (schedule is clear and it's a kid I know my kid likes), it's because I have to check with my kid to see if he's interested in attending.

Within 24 hours. I was raised right.

I try for 2-3 days, but don't think that's the norm. My DC's recent party required that I contact a bunch of people bc I hadnt heard and needed to give a head count. Those 10 all said yes. In my world, it has nothing to do with whether I like the kid. But my DC is 4 and will go to any party even if he tells me he doesn't play with the kid.
