Yes, just received letter. NNAT 135, FAT 96%, not in.
My DC is very average in school. We are not sure whether we should appeal or not.

I would appeal so if DC blossoms in the next year you can switch to AAP in fourth grade without reapplying. It can't hurt.

Can you post the subscores along with the eligibility?

Wow! Surprised?

yeah. she must volunteer a lot for the PTA or something

Not necessarily, the NNAT is high and maybe DC displays the qualities the GBRS looks at in class. Plus, a72 percent on FAT would probably have been in the 80s in prior years. A 99percent NNAT and a CogAT in the 80s getting in is not unheard of.

DC has a lower NNAT and same FAT as your kid, and she is in. She has 4 in all core subjects on her report card.
So seems like academic performance and GBRS are more critical factors than test scores.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. My DD is 126 NNAT and 97% FAT, so somewhat the opposite of yours. Don't know GBRS, but our teacher has been very supportive of getting her in. Guess we'll see what comes in the mail.

Why are YOU excited?

Because something good just happened for her kid? Is it that hard to understand?
