Is the one on Summit still available?

Op here. We have been watching Kensington and not seen houses not on Connecticut below $800 that compared to this house space wise. Any good pockets we are missing?

Agreed. But you could expand this to "wrong side of Rockville", "wrong side of Bethesda", etc (I don't know VA). It's so freaking annoying. Get some perspective people.

Perspective is maintaining value of your house, which a huge degree based on school cluster. Whether or not your children attend those schools, your housing value is still affected by it. People may love Einstein anecdotally but that doesn't mean your housing value reflects that. Over $700,000 is a big investment and means you have choices. I would not make that choice. If I only had $350,000, I would settle.

Op. elementary is Rock view.

That house is in a nice neighborhood and easy walking distance to Kensington MARC train stop (and close to Metro). I think (but haven't checked) that it's Oakland Terrace ES, which is well-regarded.

Not true. The Town of Kensington north of the tracks up to Perry Ave. is Walter Johnson cluster and probably out of your price range.

The line for Walter Johnson is about three blocks from this house, roughly Perry Ave. and St. Paul St. House prices increase significantly as soon as you hit that invisible dividing line.
