I second Hotel Collection. They don't have the band on each end that bunches. I get them at HomeGoods too.

4 years? My husband and I have even using the same bath sheets for 10 years. We only have two of them, and I wash them weekly and we use them every day, every week, unless I haven't had a chance to wash them. Then we use one of our regular bath towels. I recently thought of replacing them but until they start to fray, I will just keep them going.

Our pottery barn and RH towels have white spots too. My DH uses neutrogena clean and clear face wash so I always assumed that's what did it. Many face washes contain chemicals that will bleach.

Garnet hill. I got bright orange ones. They're going strong 4 years later. All sorts of thick and fluffy and still bright orange!

Kashmir by Kassatex. Found them at Tuesday morning. Softest towels ever.

We buy them from Costco but at that price point replace often and relegate them to cleaning cloths. I think the secret is to keep them relatively new - every towel gets worn or stained.

I like the Hotel Collection ones, I get them at Home Goods and TJ Max.

Hudson Park. Bloomingdales. They go on sale at least twice a year. Very soft and last years.

IME, the thickest most luxurious towels take forever to dry- so what out for mold/mildew smell in the humid months.

I do not like fluffy towels. Why is that?

I got Lacoste towels at Home goods that I love. I wanted a certain shade of green and they were it but they have held up great, color hasn't faded, nice and thick.
