Do you think you have some kind of unique insider knowledge? Insider, perhaps. Unique, no. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of you. And not one of you can further the president's agenda. And let's be clear. His job is not to improve the morale of the office of the Assistant Undersecretary for the Management of Regulatory Dairy Affairs, or wherever you put in your 30 years. His job is to raise massive amounts of money and to garner international attention for political issues. You cannot help him do his job, and he cannot help with yours. So run your "suggestions" up your own chain of command, and don't obsess over what the "celebrities", entertainment OR political, are doing.

take baby steps and start with a congressman, senator and go from there.

Paul McCartney can raise millions of dollars for disaster relief.

How is their access 'unfettered'? They're invited. They don't just walk up to the gate and get waved through.

And PP is right -- celebrities have a lot less access than business people with really big bank accounts.

Money, and exposure. When a celebrity visits, it's on all the news outlets and the president's message is widely heard. When you visit, the president loses 15 minutes and gains nothing, politically.

and because you happen to know person A or B due to their celeb status, dont think business types and other rich people dont get the same access and treatment too.

you only notice because the face is familiar. i bet plenty of ceo's and other rich types go in and out of any white house whoever is president.

just go to a fundraisers (if you can). the majority of folks of the real "serious" ones all have money. they arent you and i in there.
