Cows milk is not a good source of nutrients for humans.

Ya, and margarine is good for you and formula is better than breastmilk and meat is the devil.

+100 Margarine along with soda, sugary drinks, cereals and many many other manufactured products that fed to even the youngest kids.

My 14-month-old hates whole milk too. Have you talked to the doc about it? I haven't yet. Just curious if there's anything to do about it, or just let it go.

I did discuss it with the pedi. She said to make sure he drinks enough water and eats other calcium and fat rich foods like cheese and yogurt.

My kids are picky about their milk but they LOVE Trickling Springs Creamery grass fed cream line milk and it's good for them. They drink ~24 oz a day, 19 months old and 3 yrs old.

13:25 I don't think it's bragging I think it's letting her know we have kids that don't like or drink milk and its okay. They still grow and thrive.
I'm the one who said my 4 year old dd doesn't drink any. I stressed about it a lot in the beginning. I thought she needed it, buteaebed she was okay with just having the dairy products.
I also have a 5 year old son and he only has a glass maybe every other day. They're fine.

23 months old - drinks about 12-16 ounces a day of whole milk watered down (likes it better than just milk). Eats tons of cottage cheese and yogurt.

At DS 12 mo appt, ped advised 24 oz of whole milk. I found it interesting, as DS was struggling to get enough formula in as he approached a year and ped said at least 16 oz of formula. We are consistently getting 20-24 oz per day in now of whole milk a month into the switch.

Our DD drinks probably about 12 oz (two cups). She will only drink it in the morning. At our 2 year visit, the ped said we could switch her to whatever the family drinks, even skim. We do drink skim ourselves but I still by DD 2% because I think it's healthy for them to have some good fats.

Our ped told us no more than 16 oz per day -- he probably gets close to 8 or 10. He's 16 months old.

Our 2 year old is now at 8 ounces in the morning and 4 at night - but was doing 8 and 8 until a few months ago... and before that, was doing 3 8-ounce bottles a day for most of the past year... Somedays, he even got 4 bottles (usually the days he spent with grandparents)

At my daughter's recent 2 y/o doctor's appointment, the Ped said she should be drinking 20 oz of milk a day. I was shocked, as it seems like a a ton of milk for a little person who eats regular meals.

She gets her milk served in a glass at the meal table, so that's not really conducive to counting ounces - its not like a baby bottle which is designed for measuring. We aren't into sippy cups.

This kid isn't a big eater (and is quite small) and she probably has 3 or 4 ounces of whole milk a day. She can have all she wants, and I'd be fine with her consuming more (more milk and more of any real/healthy foods)

My 17-month old gets 16-18 oz per day. Ped said 16-20/day.

2 kids, 4 and 6 y.o., both drink at least a cup of non-homogenized milk a day, sometimes more. They tried skim milk and hated it.
Btw, why is whole milk considered bad? Is it the same story as at one point eggs and fresh butter were considered bad?
