I had mine pierced at 27. If your mom had waited until you were old enough to ask for it (and remember the "pain"), you would have been okay. I'm glad my parents let me decide for myself.

I am western and in my culture we do not pierce ears. I agree with this.

The ear are pierced after the Sun-in and before the spray tan. Only rule you need to follow.

Im sorry, there is not much I really freak out about with kids but piercing ears is really awful in my culture. It's considered low-class.

I pierced both DDs ears when they were 5 and 6 months. We did it at Claires in the mall. in terms of culture, I am a white, upper middle class Jew from Miami.

I agree that piercing a baby's ears is stupid. But I've never looked at a baby girl with pierced ears and thought, "Damn. She looks slutty and trashy!"

My daughter doesn't want hers pierced. She's 4. It she changes her mind when she's older it will be her decision.
