Great idea for a threat - My concern with zulily is the stuff isn't returnable - anyone have success?

Would love suggestions for bathing suits (tankinis always "balloon out" once I hit the water....very unflattering!). And also any larger girl stuff - I'm in between regular and plus these days (ggrrrr) and feel more comfortable in plus pants. Are LOFT maternity tops cut similar (just more generous in the belly) to the regular shop? I wear them a lot so was curious.

Topshop has good maternity stuff.

Check gilt.com and zulily. I got great deals on all my maternity stuff there. In person, there's a good store in old town, apple seed.

I've enjoyed this thread so far. AT work, at 16 weeks, I can still wear pre-maternity skirts/jackets/shirts so I"m doing a lot of that. I have 1 black, 1 grey work pants, maternity, that I wear when it's too cold to go skirt. all my shirts still work, or most of them do.

I do need a solid tankini type thing so I am open to any suggestions. Looking for purple, blue something like that to match a bottom I already own.

I have a lot of maternity target dresses that will work (for work) with a blazer but I too need some leggings for some shorter dresses that I am just not confident in (for weekends). I also have a few things from Sears! While I love high-quality pea/pod type duds, I will wear these things for maybe 5 months and my expenditures must reflect that. That said, I have a great grey Pea/pod skirt, full panel, that I love for work.

My 2 favorites last time were 100% cotton/stretchy (maybe not 1000% cotton) dresses. I wore them all the last week. Every day.

I love the GAP cords. Love them, as in I am still wearing them even though I don't need to! Comfy and cute! Dress up or down.

OP here. Hatch and Isabella Oliver are WAY too expensive. I don't have that kind of money, and can't really justify spending that much - even if it's a dress I can wear while not pregnant.

I'm going to go to the F st H&M to check it out! What are people wearing to work?

I have a lot of stuff from GAP maternity - two pairs of work pants (full panel), two pairs of skinny jeans (one full panel, one under belly), a few sweaters that I think will work for normal wear as well, tank tops, T-shirts, etc. I also bought a few things from ASOS - didn't love most of it but did find a couple dresses that worked although not good until you're in the third trimester as the fit is very roomy. Shade maternity has good inexpensive options for basics like tanks and tees, but they seem to run a bit small. Order a few different sizes and send back what doesn't fit, since it's free shipping both ways. Hardest part of all it was finding stuff for work. Thankfully my regular wardrobe of dresses were roomy/stretchy enough to last through the first two trimesters.

Does H&M have brown leggings? I cant find them anywhere and I have a bunch of dresses that I want to wear brown leggings underneath.

Soma intimated has really comfortable loungewear and dresses that are cut big enough for maternity.

PP, I'm the one who had the laugh about Hatch and posted those specific links. I tried to say at the end of my message that I could see they had some decent stuff - the clothes seem to have good bones. But they have those wild things that just made me say "oh damn! no they didn't!" I just suspected that you'd given a link to a site you used while pregnant and hadn't actually seen what it opened up to (the jumper and romper are super prominently displayed).

I didn't even think about peeing! Maybe there's a pee "hatch."

I'm the original Hatch poster. I really didn't notice what was on the main window when you open that link. So thanks. And yeah, I totally get it, lol.

RE the loose flowy look, if you're already a little overweight, that style tends to just make you look larger in an unflattering way, not pregnant. I actually look slimmer when pregnant and find fitted stuff to be more flattering. For example, I'd never wear skinny pants/boots/tunic, but I can do that now. Sheath dresses are also awesome now, which I usually can't pull off when not preg. I got a fabulous one at Target that I get so many compliments on every time I wear it (not online or I'd link).

My current favorite "find" is discovering that my Land's End tankini swimsuit from last summer still fits at 7 mo pregnant with room to grow! (Also of note--I'm a DD cup and the regular sizing provides great support, although with a fair amt of cleavage on show.)
