Subject: HELP am I getting paid enough?
We pay our Bethesda live-out nanny $14 per hour for 1 toddler. She does some light cleaning (up after the child) and makes dinner for us sometimes. Obviously makes the child's meals.
Live in nannies make less per hour.
4 kids must be more, and one being special needs?
Cleaning a house that big can run $200+ from a service that must come every two weeks.

Rent and utilities should be about $300 a week that you are getting in trade, but your room is your room when you are not working and you can decide if you want to receive them as guests or not.
Minimum wage is $7.25 per hour so $250 should give you a work schedule of 34 hours.
Paying your rent and utilities in trade at $7.25 per hour is another 41 hours per week but the extra 50 dollars can reduce that by 7 hours.

Agree with PP. You seem to indicate that this has happened multiple times. If that is the case, I think it would be beneficial to sit down with someone who you know can be brutally honest to hash over your resume, interviewing skills, etc.

Do you have experience? Are you making yourself clear in your interviews? If you accepted this position originally you may not be attacking the right kind of potential employer. Do you have someone in your life who can help you draft a job posting?

OP, You are getting paid very less. To give you an idea, I have a 4 yr old SN DD who is not agressive, no seizures who is functioning at 3Yr level. During school breaks, I pay for her baby sitter $17/hr. Baby sitter does nothing except playing with and taking care of DD.

Yes they want to look for someone who needs a room I gave them all my research and links to what I found but they said no and turned me down after telling me to move in this weekend. Do you know where I can find a good job that will pay? I've been looking for a job and living off student loans for 2 years now and I keep getting these jobs that never turn out right and keep getting screwed.
