Capitol Skyline, I mean. Also, they don't let you bring in food which is a big negative with little ones in my estimation.

Who runs HD Woodsons Pool is it DPR or DCPS.

The (free) pool on Georgia Avenue and Euclid NW has a separate kids pool. It is great and there are lots of kids there.

There is a petition floating around (perhaps on change.org) for extended pool hours this summer. Noon is too late for families with small kids.

Awesome pool, but waitlist just in the last two years has gone nuts!!! It's hundreds of families long. We joined in 2011 in June with no wait, and now this. Crazy.

Can't comment on the DC pools but Mohican Pool Club in Bethesda has all you describe, minus that it is in Bethesda. But it is an easy shot up MacArthur.

Never used this pool but it looks nice. (Kids used to take tennis lessons there.)

PG Pool & Cheverly are nice, but a bit of a hike from NW DC. Perfect if you live in NE.

I have heard of people joining the Hilton pool (Dupont mentioned upthread) but I doubt it is the experience you're hoping for.

The Army Navy Club, in Pentagon City (you can see the golf course from the highway) is exactly what you are talking about. Three pools plus a baby pool, snack bar, etc etc. You can join if you are federal employee, in the military, work on the Hill, or just get people who are members to sponsor you.

We love the Rosedale rec center pool. And there is a new library there too, and they're building a huge new playground that looks almost finished.

As 14:56 said, the Bethesda Pool has what you want.

And some are not geared towards small children, but some are. The Upshur pool has a separate shallow kiddie pool and no "deep end" in the regular pool. Francis has a deep pool, a mid-depth pool, and a shallow kiddie pool.

I went to the one in Adams Morgan. It was actually pretty nice. Kinda shabby poolside chairs, but they were okay enough to enjoy by putting your towel across. I went alone with my 3 year old and newborn. 3 year old did great in the pool all by herself. She does not know how to swim. The pool provided a life vest which was great. There is a deep end, but only at the very end. The rest went up to DD's chest. The pool attendant was kind of a thuggish looking black kid with dreadlocks. He was a little ghetto (pants sagging, couldn't speak English), but was pleasant. I was nervous at first, but he greeted me and showed me around. The dress facilities were a little gross, but at least they were clean. There is no door on the toilet. I'll be going back next year.
