The whole short guys make less money is talking about 5’ guys and even that is not close to a majority of short men.

I agree being too tall is as much a burden as too short. Nothing is made for 6’5” guys. Awkward.

I've told them and even punished them for doing it.

Be consistent with that and reassure him he will grow eventually. FWIW, my younger DD was taller than older DS from late ES through middle school. She was always tall but stopped growing early at stopped at 5'6" in middle school. DS had a late growth spurt and is now 6'2" at 21. Taller than everyone else in the family (all uncles, cousins, grandfathers).

For a start off just to say my height is 5'0 so pretty short. My husband is 5'6 so we are both shorter than average. We have a son aged 12 and he is only 4'9 most of his friends are taller than him. Our daughter is 9 and she is his height already. It seems that she might outgrow her brother and he says he is abit worried. It would be nice if they were similar in height but my husband says she may be taking after him which seems possible. He mainly just had some of the younger primary school children calling him names or why he was short. If he ends up like me it's not the end of the world. I don't know though as that means he needs another 3 inches and his growth is very slow.. I think I am more hopeful than his dad..
