Calling troll on all of these posts about Stone Ridge b/c the posters don’t even know it’s two words not one. If they can’t spell the school’s name correctly, they’re hardly a reliable source about the school.

It was really annoying to field questions from other parents who were interested in enrolling their kids but who kept pestering about how to make it a more liberal experience for their families. I found it really disrespectful toward the school community.
We sound similar, and I completely agree with you. There is a large Catholic community in DC who are committed to Catholic education. Most people at your kid's Catholic school are not there to escape public school but truly want a Catholic education for their child.

If you opt for Catholic school, you need to be comfortable with whatever they serve up religiously.The “liberal Catholic school” scenario isn’t really a thing because they all adhere to the doctrines of the Church. Some may be a bit less in your face about it, but that’s the trade off for less expensive and small class size.

Good points, but there’s definitely variation in Catholic communities and it makes sense to research them before enrolling.

It's an oxymoron. There are no truly liberal Catholic schools. They all have to follow the teaching of the Catholic Church. You are either fine with it or not.
