However! If you look at someone's LinkedIn profile, they CAN see that (even with their free account).

You can change profile setting to private (or whatever) and you'll stay anonymous when you're sleuthing around.

Only if you have a Twitter account and are logged in.

My son told his father hello the minute my husband got his account. LOL. It was funny. Neither knew they had accounts.

There is no way one can see if someone checks your Twitter or not, if the PP's can prove me wrong, provide links.

Re FB: Your profile will start showing up in their "people you may know". They will know you were checking.

Those are just friends of friends of friends. There is no way all of those people are checking my profile. There is a way to monitor how many hits your facebook has, and a general area of where they are coming from. I can't remember the name of the program. It will show you that 3 unique IP addresses logged on from Tallahassee, and 2 unique addresses from New York etc.

Not possible to put any kind of tracking software on your twitter account. The site architecture does not allow it.

So then it must just be coincidental. Very strange that is has happened several times though. She writes something, I see it... she deletes it and then posts something about "why are you stalking my page I can see when you look". I haven't responded to her, haven't retweeted or made any posts favorite, I'm not following her, I don't log in. This has happened more times than it just being a coincidence can account for. There must be some other way she knows than a tracking device.

Right, but we're talking about someone with no Twitter account, thus they could not be logged in.

Yes they can. You will start to show up in their 'people you should know stream'. FB is like a plague on modern society.

Someone could tell you checked their Twitter account when you were not registered/not signed in to Twitter?

Please share how this is done. I'd love to know.

I don't think the first PP is correct. If the person looking at your page has no account, there is no way to know who it is. I don't think Twitter lets someone view the analytics for their page, like you can for a personal website.
