That really takes the cake for pseudoscience, for sure. Wow. By his same logic, no one needs meat. We can survive without it, and meat has several compounds that are toxic for us, as well. Let me dig up some pseudoscience for that point. That wasn't hard:http://www.stephen-knapp.com/why_be_a_vegan_vegetarian.htm

Basic nutrition folks. Avoid the pseudo science

Where does PP talk about fake sweeteners and fat-free food? Don't be obtuse.
Grains are basically poison. That includes quinoa, amaranth, etc.

...and that is exactly why the Italian/Mediterranean diet is one of 2 (if not THE) healthiest in the world. But I guess the only pasta you know is with Alfredo sauce (whatever that is...)

But they don't cite pasta when they talk about the Mediterranean diet??

pp is a moron-the M diet refers to eating lean protein-fish/seafood, lots of fresh veggies/fruit , olive oil.not plates of pasta. Same advice as always-lay off the bread and grains and rely on fresh fruit/veggies, good fat to round out most of your diet

You may name-call on an anonymous forum, but you remain painfully ignorant. Grain foods, especially whole grains, are a prominent element of a healthy Med diet. Since you don't appear to know what those are, here's a helpful list for you: bulgur, couscous, rice, and oh yeah, pasta.

Now you may go back to your Splenda and fat-free junk.

Agree re bionature. It's also at our Giant in the mini whole foods section. Cooks Kitchen did a taste test and picked bionature too.

exactly. i repeat what i said about whole wheat: it is a marketing scam. fiber comes in better, less processed, and more nutritious forms.

Yes and no. Choosing whole wheat bread over white bread is not a scam, whereas GM advertising whole wheat fruit loops sort of is.
