If an in-network doctor--like Abbasi--orders tests that can't be run at an in-network lab (because there isn't an in-network lab that provides the service) most HMOs are supposed to cover the costs, but you would have to provide a letter from your doctor to MDIPA requesting advance permission to go out of network and it would be a big hassle.

This is great - thanks for posting. Do you recall how much the test costs? While shady grove may not do it my primary doctor might as she is the one who had me go see an RE instead of an obgyn. Is the test a blood test or an endometrial swab?
