Gap jeans are ugly mom jeans. Nice try with the cutdown, though.

Yes! I just bought 5 NYDJ jeans last week at Nordstrom's, after having bought a few of their capris last summer. They have an awesome fit and magically seem to hide my belly flub (3 kids later, I wish the flub would permanently disappear!). I sware I'll never go back to any other brand. For some reason I'm able to fit into Size 8 NYDJ, which is a huge ego boost since I'm usually squeezing into 10's or 12's, I'm sure that's probably some savvy subliminal marketing on their part.

Okay. I apologize, then. I didn't watch the video so I didn't realize you were referring to that and not to the comments regarding the jeans people were suggesting. Just get a brand made for women and not girls. They should be "low rise" but not "low rise", if that makes sense. It's more flattering if they go just below your belly button. Stretchy is more comfortable, but doesn't mean tight.

I agree! When i read the title i was confused . Should be titled Jeans for apple shape and out of shape. If a 20yr old has the body od the OP then they should wear the same cut jeans.

You are easily confused then.

Maybe you delicate flowers should stay off DCUM.

Not delicate. Pretty rock hard.

I think she meant your feelings which are so delicate that you take exception to a question honestly asked, though apparently, not correctly worded. I am sure your abs are outstanding!

Trust me, op...go to Macy's and try on the dark, stretchy Levi's. I tried on twenty different pairs in all brands including expensive jeans, but the $40 stretchy Levi's were the best.

And even if she is.. Have some class, for crying out loud!

I'm with you but the OP's comment that she doesn't want "discount jeans" probably nixes that suggestion. I love when I give a normal response on this board and I get a return of "I'm sorry. I'm old, not poor, and I'm looking for a real suggestion".
