Hi Jin, I was at GW till recently. Is Melissa still there?

I don't expect twins, which is totaly fine! My beta isn't even rising "slowly' - 35 hrs is pretty fast. I'm just trying to stay hopeful that the ultrasound shows something.

I'm also staying away from "due date threads" as much as I can on other forums (not here), as I see women dropping out. Women with betas in the 30,000s before their ultrasounds have had m/c's....and I don't need to read about that.

Luckily GW isn't making me wait too long - another beta/ultrasound Tuesday isn't bad. Not nearly as painful as the 4 day wait between my first two betas. I'm still considering myself cautiously pregnant!

I think your betas look pretty good, especially considering how low your first one was. I mean, I wouldn't expect twins or anything but no reason why there shouldnt be one baby in there.

You are (understandably) overthinking this. You are pregnant and your numbers look just fine. If these numbers belonged to your friend instead of you, you'd be happy for her. So far, there is no reason to worry, so stop looking for one

Avg doubling time was 35.5 hours. Not sure what that means....

But it is doubling a bit ahead of schedule, right? So far, the news is good. My dh keeps telling me (the spotter)to remain hopeful and it feels like bad luck to do so but is much less painful than thinking about the worst all day long.

Beta came back decent again (533) - I can't help but feel like it's still too low...my retrieval was 1 Feb.

Anyway, next nerve wracking wait is for next Tuesday when we have another beta and an ultrasound. Sigh.

Congrats!! And no, the worry doesn't go away for a long, long time. I kept thinking it would every time I reached a new milestone but it never really did. The only things that made me feel substantially better were reaching viability and feeling the baby move all the time, but even then I still had occasional freak-outs.

Nope. Doesn't end. Every OB appointment I had, I was terrified until I got a chance to listen to the heart beat. After they're born though, the worrying starts in earnest.
