I do not know a lawyer who would not charge a client for a call on this matter. It's hourly fees folks. That said OP, it is worth discussing this with your lawyer.


If you've got a regular relationship and (1) the question can be answered in less than 3-5 minutes and (2) you're not always asking these questions, then maybe a lawyer might not charge.

But yeah, I'm sensing frivolous motions.

My case: The judge advised the father if he wanted to revisit the case he would have to pay a court appointed lawyer for the child (cost $4000+) and if it was deemed in the best inerest of the child the case would be revisited. That put a stop to the ring-around-the-courthouse game. I hope this info is helpful

Seriously, there had to be red flags there. My marriage isn't perfect, but the amount of dysfunction on here is really overwhelming. These poor kids.

Not OP, but you do realize that every time you speak to an attorney they charge you for it? And she still owes money from the first and second go around? You do the math and ask that again.

Next time you go to court...have your attorney petition the court that any further actions/filings by your ex must go before the judge before he is allowed to actually proceed against you.
In other words, a judge would need to sign off on him filing for reduction, visitation, etc.
It will cut down the times you have to go to court...he cannot be allowed to abuse the system...
This will nip it in the bud.
I take it your ex has a drug problem...sounds typical of one.
