I lived on Hooker Street for a few years. Horrible, horrible name. My name beings with an H, which made the jokes even easier. Many a pizza delivery guy made crass jokes. It did get me out of a speeding ticket once when I handed my license to the officer and caught him chuckling. Overall, I had fun with it, and can't imagine not living somewhere b/c of the name unless it was really super bad.

We had friends who lived near Wolf Trap and they lived on Trombone Court. All the street names around there are like that. Nice neighborhood, silly street name.

I'd have a hard time doing it. A have a friend with a "leapfrog lane" address... sounds so podunk.

Creamcup Lane, Great Falls....seriously...and it's interconnected with Milkweed Lane.

We have friends who live in the Camlot area of annandale. Every time we go there we laugh at the street names. It is ridiculous and makes me wonder what the hell they were thinking when they desigend that neighborhood. Still it is a lovely neighborhood and the terrible street names would not keep me from buying there.

OP, I love you.

It would totally give me pause. I would buy the house and get a PO box. Or if I had a long driveway - petition the city to name your driveway "New Street With Better Name Drive"

I know people who moved to a street with the word, "panther," in it, and everytime I see their street sign or address a card to them, I think of the scene in "Anchorman" where that one guy is putting on Sex Panther cologne and then stinks up the whole newsroom.

I understand your concern, because I have friends who live on a street with a terrible name, and every year when I address their Christmas card I cringe a little as I write it. But I like my friends a lot and know they did not choose this name, so I don't judge them negatively in any way.

Not a deal breaker!

It would not be a factor. Finding the right house can be hard, a street name would not be the dealbreaker.

I live on a street with a questionable name. Noticed it after we bought the house and then did not think twice about it.

If you love the house the name should not matter, IMO.

PP here (give me pause poster). FWIW, none of the names listed seem too bad to me.
