Op here. It's just a book. No other stuff. But they are slightly more expensive than what I'd usually buy for goody bag stuff, so that's why I don't want to go out and purchase 2 more when I already have 2 more than what's required for the RSVPs.

Stupid me didn't think about calling. I don't have everyone's number, but I will call those I can.

And I will purchase extra. I don't want any kids to be disappointed because they don't get something when everyone else does.

You're not wrong about the wasteful part, IMO, which is why I try to do something nicer. Interesting point about setting DS up to think he should get a present every time he goes to a party. My DS is younger, so I hadn't considered that.

Oh, to OP, since I participated in hijacking your thread - I'd bring 4 goody bags. You probably won't use all of them, but better to be prepared. Why can't people just RSVP???
