Hello Peapod! The best for any neighborhood.

People will say that they like to pick out their own produce but I have been completely satisfied with Peapod produce, so much better to have someone carry the groceries into my kitchen than to pick out my own apples.

WF Friendship heights is my favorite. If only they could have been and wine.

I live in Columbia Heights as well and love the Giant. I've always been brand-loyal to Giant. It's not perfect, but it's a few blocks away which is a huge bonus. I've found the staff there to be pretty friendly. Sometimes I hit it at the wrong time, and it's really crowded. But it's my neighborhood and everyone is there--the 20-something group house hipsters, the grannies, the young Latina moms and the 40-something moms like me. It's part of why I chose to live here.

I don't get all of my needs met at Giant. No store does. We also do runs to Trader Joes because there are particular things we want and have also started going to the new Costco. Among the three, we manage to get the things we like without breaking the bank too much.
