Federal job. 3 months from application to start. But I had submitted probably 50 resumes for federal jobs over the prior 3 years, in spurts.

13 months. Applied in January, called in February, interviewed in March, job offer in April. Didn't start until February of the next year while waiting for clearance to go through.

For current job about 2 months between sending in an application and starting. For 3 weeks of that timeframe I had an offer but had to give notice, have time for the background check and everything to go thru. I was probably looking for a job about two weeks before I applied to this one.

1 week. It is a contract, but pays really well. I'm in finance and have skills that are in great demand.

Federal Government job.. applied in October. Started in Mid January. I knew the people who were hiring though and they knew me and my previous work, and I already had status as a previous federal employee.
