Actually right after I finished typing I could hear her wake up a little bit so I went up there, she was mostly sleeping but things seemed fine (I think??). I still just feel horrible thouhg, mainly because I knew better and was being vain and looking in the mirror and now my baby got hurt because of it. And my DH is giving me a really hard time about it because he has warned me about this before, and he's right. UGH. I just hope everything will be ok in the morning.
This is what is bothering me about this story. Every parent in the universe does this once. I did it with the changing table (throwing diaper away) and he busted his nose. Took him to the emergency room and they laughed at me and sent me home. I felt just AWFUL. But EVERYONE has done this and my husband just hugged me and told me "lesson learned" and was very kind. Your husband will make his fine share of mistakes and I hope he would never want to be given a hard time - God knows you are giving yourself a harder time than anyone else could. He needs to comfort you and move on.
Anyway, I'm so sorry it happened. But I'm guessing it never will again. Check on that baby but I bet you she's just fine. They're pretty resilient little creatures. And forgive yourself now.
Agree, the husband sounds like an ass. Things happen, your daughter is probably fine, little ones are tough!

Called ambulance immediately and scan at hospital found a small, nonharmful hematoma. She spent the night at Children's for monitoring and was absolutely fine. I think you'd have a sign of something more serious. Just listen to your ped.
I would have had a nervous breakdown. Glad she is ok!

Anonymous wrote:Okay another perspective..my dd fell backwards off the sofa onto the carpet..she was three years old. Happened so quick. In any event..we thought she was fine..put her to bed. But..the next morning she started vomiting..she had a concussion apparently. She was/is fine but I think I should have taken it more seriously..if you child vomits..go to er asap.
