BTW, for all of those who think we're trying to be exclusive, that isn't the case. The other kids have a blast with mine during the day. However, my kids are never invited to any birthday parties and when my kids have parties, nobody shows up. Hmm. We just want to find kids whose parents will let them play with us. I am so sorry to hear this. We are also a 2 mom family and have never had that issue with my school age kids. They are often invited to other kids' houses and when we hosted a party at our house, every kid and parent showed up (maybe to see how the crazy lesbians live.) Rainbow families and LGBT Maryland Meetup often have events for the under 5y crowd! Get on the Rainbow families Toddler/Preschool playdate list.

good luck!

That is so ridiculous. She's not saying that she wants to move to WimminsLand. She's not saying that she is trying to exclude all straight people from her social circle. Consider why minorities often want to have social contacts from their own group: so they are not always the token family, so their kids understand that there are similar families out there, so they have a space to vent/commiserate/support over issues specific to being a minority within a majority culture.
