Highlights twice per year ($110 or so per visit plus tip)
Shampoo/conditioner (generally use pantene) so that will be $10 every few months (I only wash every 3 days so these products last a while)
Hair product $25 that will last several months (6+mo or so because of the washing every 3 days)
Not to mention the $100 worth of fredric fekai, b+b, phytomer products I already have just sitting in my bathroom from lack of use.
-------------This all averages to about $40 per month
Now facial products: $30 on face wash (Clarins), $60 face cream, $30 eye cream, $35 spf lotion $28 other face lotion. That is where I am more high maintenance (want to take care of my skin).
------------------this may average to $50/month
yikes---when I really look at the math/budget it is alarming...I guess I am more high maintenance than previously thought?!

I get my hair cut every six weeks. I have a layered bob. Cut and Blow dry is about $30.
I color at home every 5 weeks. Preference by Loreal. About $8 a box.
where are you getting a $30 haircut?

As for 10 not being realistic, I can tell you I bought Costco bottles of shampoo and conditioner over a year ago and still have a couple inches left. How much are those? That's how much I've spent on my hair in a year.
Sorry my hair is so much more awesome than yours.

Pantene and Beauty supply conditioner = $100/year

Wow.

I don't color or treat it. I don't use heat on it. I use whatever shampoo /conditioner and occasionally deep treat w a masque. I wash a couple times a week.... So I spend maybe $10 a year?
I got out of the habit of having it done pro when I realized though I tipped well, they never remembered how I liked it done and it's so long it was always pricy. I don't get splits so I was told I could get away with once or twice a year trim. I then had kids and what time I take away from them I don't want to spend getting a haircut and awkward small talk.
Am in a wedding in a couple months where we can pick our style/ do what we want, gift of the bride and all I can think is I don't want a stranger touching my hair....what to do/ how to decline....
Oh please. Get over yourself.![]()
