And FYI, there is no such thing as a "non-Tea-Party" Republican anymore. Did you catch the news today?

You're either Democrat, Independent or Bat Shit Crazy.

. So true, and very sad.

This really is a ridiculous question. Republicans are welcome at any school. At most schools you will find students who are liberal, conservative and undecided/not caring yet.

OP: There is a difference between Republicans being "welcome" and Republicans being dominant. Yes, on most college campuses, Republicans will be a minority. But that doesn't mean they are completely marginalized and miserable. You live in the DC area; surely by now you are used to being surrounded by Democrats?

Not to mention the obvious issue, already noted by others, that it's pretty strange that you are trying to make this decision for your son. Sounds like you are worried about him going off to college and becoming a godless liberal.

Wisconsin actually has republicans, for what it is worth.

How about Liberty College, or Kinnesaw State, where Newt Gingrich is a Historian professor. Or, how about you let your kid do their own research and figure out their own fit?

Um, you said YOU'RE a republican. Why on earth does your son have to go to a school that embodies your ideology? Why not send him somewhere he can learn about different viewpoints and decide what HE believes once he is no longer under mommy and daddy's thumb.

Maybe OP should let her son use college for what it's meant for: expanding your mind and your outlook. It might do him and her good.

Also, ever wonder why the most educated people skew liberal? There is a good reason for it.

I went to a small university--about 3,000 undergrad. There was an incredibly organized and active conservative group, a poorly organized liberal group, and about 90% politically apathetic.

I found the OPs post a bit odd as well. It doesn't say the son wants a school with a conservative feel, but that the OP does. weird, unless the OP just misspoke, so to speak.

Patrick Henry is ultra conservative. I don't think it's even accredited.

OP might want to try this question on the College Discussion thread. Most conservative schools around here are: CNU, CUA, Liberty, Washington & Lee, and Patrick Henry.

Why do you care about this, OP? Is your son interested in a Republican leaning school?
