ok this is totally not authentic, but have you considered going to a hibachi grill place ? they usually also offer sushi, and it's a ton of fun for kids.

Oh, and all four restaurants are kids friendly, except
stroller may be off limits due to the tightness of the space.

I just quick searched the hotel site, but I did not find the relevant information.

All four restaurants listed above have a near-authentic Japanese food.

These two restaurants serve pretty much authentic Japanese food (non-sushi).

I think Blue Ocean has a separate menu in Japanese text that lists menus that are not listed on the English text menu.
We basically order from this Japanese-text menu.

I heard "Tachibana" in McLean is another good restaurant.
However, I perfsonally have not tried there yet, so I can't comment on the authenticity of their food.
