Rich white people bully with words, with actively leaving people out, and poor people bully by just punching you in the face. It's just two different ways of the same problem.
The more physical kids at my schools were usually low-income black and white kids from single-family homes. Only difference was that some black girls were also be physically aggressive. I had a locker in the hall with the vocational education classes where the black kids usually hung out, and black girls would punch white kids and take stuff from their lockers.
The rich white kids just put others down verbally. The Asian and Hispanic kids kept to themselves.
I think you just hear more about the incidents involving high SES schools because that where most DCUMers send their kids.
