Random question: for those who make waffles, who eats them? Between me, my 3YO, and my "husband", we can eat maybe 1-2 full size waffles. What do you with the rest. I love waffles and pancakes but we can only eat so much before feeling stuffed up.

I definitely need more storage space. I think the only thing mentioned on this list that I don't have is a pressure cooker. My kitchen gadgetry relative to household income is completely out of control. Just rented a house with a smallish, nicely redone kitchen, and sadly I've realized it is not a kitchen for people who accumulate massive amounts of kitchen stuff and then expect to use that stuff.

My rec. if you are looking for something to ask for for the holidays is a popover pan. Homemade popovers are easy and amazing!


I'm the pasta machine poster. I received a popover pan for my birthday a few weeks ago! I had popovers growing up and thought my kids would like them. I made some last night and they were a big hit.

The Kuhn Rikon vegetable peeler is a thing of beauty. I already have one but am serious considering buying one for my extended family. They will think its lame until they use it and realized I changed their life.

Remote meat thermometer. I had one for years, but it finally broke, and I"m too cheap to spend $40 on a new one.
