I went to an open house over the summer (Burke) which was listed by a FranklyMLS agent. I thought the guy seemed good, to be honest. Even though I have an agent, he followed up with me on some things about the property. (the property was nice, just not the right fit for our family.)

Redfin has subsidy info-trust me, I stalk them. Had a very bad unprofessional experience with franklymls agent who was representing sellers. Totally unresponsive

I like reading the comments by Redfin agents. Some are more helpful than others. Does any other site do that?

I have tried Redfin, Franklymls, and Zillow and have always preferred Redfin. Redfin is always up to date and just all- around the simplest to use.

So you're saying that the subsidy info is available on Redfin, too, if I sign up for an account?

I think this is exactly why they are limiting their search to actual customers only - it makes sense.

That's not true. When we were buying recently, we uses FranklyMLS for their FPP which estimates what the home would sell for "today". It takes into account information on the market, how long tge home has been listed and comps.


How is that different from a site like Zillow? Redfin does comps.

I skimmed the blog post about this (didn't get the email). So are they saying unless you are an actual client you can no longer do searches at all? Or that you will only get basic results from the search?

We bought and sold with Frankly MLS. We used the owner Frank Llosa, he was great! I have no complaints. Yes, I did get the email, it's a bummer, they have a great site and it's a shame it will not be available to all.

Franklymls shows sold prices and photos, and sold prices are the only true comps. I love the site and I too am bummed about this.

I thought about listing with them, but their realtor insisted on the staging; when we asked them for examples of how the staging works with a SFH in Vienna as opposed to a condo in Arlington/DC, they couldn't really answer.
