Interesting thought. But the idea behind the sws expansion and relocation was for it to become a regular neighborhood school. I am sure that area already has a neighborhood school. Makes more sense to move Sws to the van Ness building over near the Navy Yard to serve that growing neighborhood that doesn't even have a neighborhood school ( they are supposed to cross south capitol and trek all the way to Amidon Bowen)
If you follow that logic, you either need new boundaries, or SWS has to fill in the gaps created by closures. The broader Hill neighborhood is well served by it's packed successful ES options (Brent, Mauy), and underenrolled/largely OOB for its less favored options (Ludlow Taylor is the neighbhorhood school, and IB families peel off by K). The Stanton Park neighborhood and the Hill in general are the target families for SWS. PLC makes a lot of sense.
