Cheryl Iglesia

She is an amazing urogyn, sees patients in DC and North Bethesda. Highly recommend.

Do you happen to be postpartum? This happened to me a week of so postpartum- my cervix/uterus was literally coming out of me. My Dr told me kegals and give it a full 6-8 weeks since it was still shrinking down from birth and reevaluate. Sure enough, at 6 weeks, everything migrated back into place

Go see a pelvic PT! They are wonder workers. A lot of this is very fixable. They can figure out if you are too tight, or too weak (both can cause prolapse) and give you exercises to help -- they are different, so make sure you see a PT before starting the exercises (this is why a DVD is a little scary -- for example, so some people, kegels will make the problem worse).

Also follow "the vagina whisperer" on Instagram.

Another is Intimate Rose -- they have "kegel weights" that really work for prolapse.

Can anyone recommend a PT who deals with pelvic floor issues (I have a cystocele) in Bethesda or NW DC?

TIA

You need to see a doctor for cystocele

Are you the OP? Very few people will read your comment and offer advice. You need a new thread.

Also Dr, Luis Sanz. Very experienced and the *doctor's doctor.*

I do not recommend him. I was referred to him by my OBGYN as the BEST in this area and he sure THINKS he's the best in this area and doesn't mind telling you. Normally I can see past a huge ego and bad bedside manner, but in my case i actually had surgery with him and almost 4 years later I still can't have sex without intense pain. Their answer (Sanz and my OBGYN) - take a pain reliever before having sex. Well.....with little kids and 2 WOHP it's not something that we plan in advance all of the time nor do I think it's healthy to take a pain reliever that often.

I recommend you find someone else.
