I've done WW and it just aggravated me. If you do a medial weight loss program like a meal replacement, just make sure you do it right. Getting to the ketosis state when your body burns fat stores requires a high protein intake and you should be monitored closely. The thing is, it works, it totally works. I wasn't hungry, didn't crave sweets, nothing like that. I also had weekly group sessions that helped immensely. I found the additional clinical knowledge empowering.
Do you know what the GW program is called?
How did you lose 12 lbs in September?Anonymous wrote:Looking for success stories at my age: 43 in August
My starting weight was 188 at the beginning of September and I am trying to get to 128 by September 1, 2013. I am only 5'2", so started well into the obese BMI range and I am trying to get into the healthy range.
The Goals: 24lbs lost by December 1, 40 lbs lost by March 1, 52 lbs lost by June 1, and 60 lbs lost by September 1.
The Progress: 12 lbs lost in September and 4.5 lbs lost in October. So I am going to need at least 7.5 lbs in November to meet my first goal.
Anybody attempted/attempting/accomplished something similar?

How did you lose the weight? I'm almost exactly as your stats and I've been having a terribly rough time. I've gone from 120 to 114 but it took 6 months just to lose that and now the weight won't budge. I've been doing a combo of diet and exercise. I'd like to get down to 104 although 98 was the "normal" for me for most of my life but I just feel like it would be impossible now.
I thought it would be impossible, too, so don't stress. I really credit my weight loss to acupuncture.
That's interesting, where did you go? Did you just ask for a treatment specifically for weight loss? I've done a few months of acupuncture before for back and shoulder pain. But never thought to ask for weight loss help.
