This year, they received nearly 1500 trick or treaters. They ran out of candy around 8:15 PM, and still the trick or treaters kept coming. My brother continued to keep count of kids coming up to their porch after they ran out of candy.
Consider yourself lucky.
We live in another city now, too, and count kids by the 200 piece candy bag. We bought 600 pieces this year, were very careful to hand out one to each kid, and we still ran out. We even poached about a hundred pieces from our four-year-old's bag.
