We had a ton in Somerset. There were a bunch of kids who weren't from the neighborhood, many of whom were not in costume. Also saw two middle-aged women walking around "trick-or-treating" alone.

We live in another city now, too, and count kids by the 200 piece candy bag. We bought 600 pieces this year, were very careful to hand out one to each kid, and we still ran out. We even poached about a hundred pieces from our four-year-old's bag.

We had about 150-200 in Bethesda. Gave most kids 2 pieces, youngest ones just one. Went through 3 giant bags and 4 regular bags of candy (probably $60-70 worth - the big bags were $20 at Target). Have a few pieces left, maybe 10.

We didn't, but it started slowly so I gave handfuls to the first ones, then had to slow down later because I was afraid of running out. Then it stopped earlier than it did last year, so now we have leftovers.
