4 kids-6-13. X-box and computer have been on lockdown for 2 weeks ever since they just behaved like wild animals since school started and I had to come down like a hammer. They have 3-5 hours of TV time on Saturday if they want and lately, some sport game is on the TV on Sunday from 1-7:30 no one watches it the whole time unless it's Skins or Nats.

Until this fall, 2 DCs got no screen time from M-Th, then 30-45 minutes of computer time or DVD of choice on weekend. Now oldest DC has to have access to internet for some computer, so whatever the requirement is for that day, but none for pleasure.

4-year-old

She watches no TV. Every couple of weeks we will watch a movie together as a family. She gets very little computer time--mostly youtube--probably less than 30 minutes a week on average, but she can go months without this. She is not interested in video games yet. She does see TV on at other people's house. We just do not have one hooked up in our house. We have never restricted, we just don't really make it readily available, and it is all she knows.

After she goes to bed DH and I might watch something on Netflix.

6-year old. It varies tremendously by day. A few weekdays a week (Mondays and Wednesdays for sure, maybe Fridays) none. Some weekdays he might watch an hour at night. Weekends usually more, but not a lot more.
We don't watch TV in the mornings or afternoons. Just the house rule, applies every day except very rare exceptions.

2.5, we watch 30 minute chunks of Cars one or two nights a week. He is allowed to do puzzles and counting games on the iPad.

I don't restrict it. As long as homework is done and projects are on time and instrument practice is done, TV and video games are fine.

20 minutes a week in home videos on the iPhone, otherwise none. DD is 2.

Zero for us too - same thing. We skype with far-away family and look at pictures family and friends send, but that's it. We never replaced the tv when it broke and we're on year 9 of no tv now. I am honestly SHOCKED to have made it this long.

Sometimes 20 minutes in the am (helps breakfast go down easier). Sometimes 15 minutes or so while we get ready as he sits on our bed. Usually not both of these.

Some days no tv after preschool.

Some days a show before bed.

Some days we get home at 4 and the tv is on until 6:30 or 7.

It varies. I'm not concerned.

I let 2.5 DD watch a show in the morning before day care, but we're usually in such a rush that it ends up being something like the Wiggles, which is about 10 minutes long. After school I let her watch a show if she asks, and if I'm feeling generous, maybe 2 shows. So it ends up being between 30 mins- 1 hr a day. That's for a normal day; if she's sick or something, it's more.

We don't have an iPad or have movies in the car.

Monday-Thur: None
Friday - family movie night 90 minutes-2 hours
Saturday & Sunday - 2-3 hours depending on activities and if chores are done.

School days - never more than an hour - usually 30-45 minutes of screen time. Weekends...well I don't really keep track. It depends on what we have going on that day but anywhere between 1-3 hours, sometimes more if it's terrible weather or someone is sick.
