Were you overweight because you had bad habits, and correcting those helped you lose the weight? If not, what's your point? Are you suggesting doing patently unhealthy things in order to look a certain way? I hope not.
Weight doesn't matter if you're fit. Some excess weight is actually protective. There is NO health argument for losing "the last 10 pounds" unless you have them because you snort donuts.
If you don't snort donuts, and you move, and your thyroid, etc., are fine, you will damage your body more by continuing to lose weight via unhealhy means than by carrying the extra weight.
