This is not an answer to the original question, since I will not be voting for Romney. However, there is an elephant in the room.
Obama has tried to get all political persuasions to the table to openly discuss issues. Republicans have refused.
Voting for a President because of one self-serving issue is like picking a beautiful necklace to wear and ignoring the issue of wearing clothes.
The world knows you're Republican and others think you are living under a rock with a bunch of pretty necklaces and no clothes.

I am not voting for Romney, but I know several people who are and we have engaged in some very polite but in-depth conversations about it. Here are some reasons (not validating, just parroting for interest):

- Obamacare has "caused" their insurance company to up their insurance rates over 5xs because they can no longer exclude a pending procedure for one of their kids. Romney said he would get rid of it so there you go (pretty sure they would have voted for him anyway).

- Belief that Obama participates in Keynesian economics and that the system is a bad one. Belief that government is overregulated and that Romney will scale it back.

- Owns own business and thinks taxes are too high and wants to lower them. Thinks Romney is the better candidate to lower taxes for independent business owners.
