Some bruising is normal especially if you have fair skin.

This 2ww is killing me. One more week to go.

Some bruising will happen. But here's what I've found helps (and sad to say, I've done enough injections to have "perfected" the technique): ice before and after with a little pressure (those ice packs that come with your order are helpful here, be sure to wipe your skin with alcohol before injecting); pinch a fold of skin to inject into; use a quick, purposeful stabbing motion; pull the needle out slowly and apply gauze/ice with pressure immediately. The above procedure seemed to reduce bruising a lot for me...

I'm worried that I messed up my trigger. We had very long standing plans for a friends milestone birthday and I had to trigger in the not best of environments. I couldn't see well and think quite a few drops flew out of the syringe when I was pushing out the air bubble. This morning I used a Wondfo to test and it was positive but pretty light given I triggered last night. I don't know if positive is good enough or if I left too much HCG on the sidewalk (yes, this had to happen outside for reasons that are too random for even this thread)

The very first time I did an injection, I must've hit a blood vessel. I had a large bruise that stuck around for several days. Since then, I haven't hit another one of those suckers, but I wind up with red marks on the actual injection site and small bruising from time to time around the injection site. I called my RE's office & I even showed my tummy to my doctor & nurse at some point and asked if it was normal and was reassured it was fine. We are just overly programmed to worry at this point (completely understandably, by the way). You're probably fine. If you want to feel better, just show your doc or nurse at your next monitoring appointment. They will provide reassurance as well. Good luck.

I only have experience with menopur and ovidrel. After about 30 injecations total, I have only really bruised twice.

Once, I clearly had an air bubble I couldn't get out and that is what I blame. Have you been able to tap out all small air pockets? The other time was kind of random. I was rushing a bit and didn't go in straight.

Are you super thin by any chance? I have found it's important to find a spot with at least pinch of fat.

I commend your self control- I probably would have even if I wasn't TTC! In my head I would have definately popped right in the nose... I spent the summer with the the wand of shame- we met almost daily. I don't think its shameful either but it does get kind old really fast.

I couldn't chime in and mention I've had three blood draws and sonograms (which I don't consider shameful) since Monday but boy did I want to bap her on the head.

OP- I have had some similar thoughts with my husband. He finally sat me down and said while he would love to have child, the most important thing in his world was me. This is my body and if I wasn't comfortable with shots and hormones, then we would find another way or we would be childless, but his main concern was my health and my happiness. Your husband married you for who you are. Trust in that.

You also mentioned looking for a daily site. I have one that I am on that has provided me with a tremendous amount of support (it does have emoticons, but this one does too!)
The one I am on has people who are all at varying degrees of procedures (IVF, IUI, or trying the old fashioned way) I have found it is really helpful to vent and talk to people who are going through the same thing at the same time I am (twoweekwait dot com if you are interested).
