OMG, me too. OP here and this is what my husband keeps telling me will happen. I didn't believe him...

14:09- this is me exactly (OP). Sometimes I can get them long enough to get myself to the salon and get a manicure (if I can get a gel manicure then I can get them nice and long) but then over about a month I slowly start picking away... I just can't afford the manicures every 2 weeks right now.

09:08- I will take your advice under consideration. My husband would very much like for me to get a new job and get pregnant, and stop chewing my fingers, so I will take your advice under consideration

I'm 30 and a biter too. The only thing that stops me is knowing I'm going to be in a situation where I need nice nails. After college, I stopped because I was going to be interviewing. Before my wedding I stopped so I would have nice nails for pictures. The exception was when DC was a baby, I stopped because biting when changing diapers is really unappealing ... my suggestion is to look for a new job or have a baby

I give it up for Lent every year; I always have nice nails for Easter! but I can kick it only occasionally through the rest of the year. You'd think it shouldn't matter if it's Lent or not, if I can do it, I can do it. I know. I feel like I'm constantly in a state of trying to quit.

This thread is great motivation, though. I'm going to put on some strengthened polish right now! (When I've had success, it's been with this stuff. It's the Sally Hansen Miracle-Nail or whatever it's called. It's in a gold bottle.)

Me too! I was around 30. It was totally crazy.
