This. Also, the price is on the high side, and when I wanted to try it, the saleswoman said it wouldn't look as good unless I also bought the primer to wear under the tm.

Where's the best place to try/buy Laura Mercier??

If you travel, the smaller LM sizes at sephora are great (not sure if they have them elsewhere) - though only 2 shades. Great way to try the product too without spending a lot.

Another vote for Laura Mercier.

Laura Mercier is the absolute best. I've been using it for years - I hate foundation but love this and it's better than others I've tried over the years when I've been 'bored' with LM's. Always go back. Just bought some of the new "pancake" tinted moisturizer the other day.

Me too. Most of the ones I tested were really think, but this was perfect.

I just bought one from Chanel that I love. It's really smooth and light, doesn't "settle" or sit on top of your skin. Down side is that it doesn't offer much coverage, but I put a sheer Estee lauder powder over it and that's enough for me (I'm 47, decent skin but not completely even). Has an spf, too.

When I bought it I went around to every brand counter at Macy's and tried what they had. I tried Origins, Estee Lauder, Clinique, and they all did that settling thing where I could see it sort of sitting in the lines of my skin. Chanel was the only one that really blended and didn't do that.
