update, because I know everyone was wondering:

Old Navy jeans looked terrible on me. Terrible. And the shipping time was outrageous. Took over 2 weeks.

American Eagle are for skinnier gals.

I finally "lucked out" with Lucky super stretch from the outlet. Love them. I think they look good now and will look great when I lose the post baby jiggle.

Glad to be out of my yoga pants.

I'm a huge fan of the Levi's reverse fit. They don't sag or gape anywhere and def don't look like mom jeans.

She sells jeans: of course she wouldn't like gap jeans....

I don't know...something seems fishy. It doesn't even look like the same body. Also she is a consultant for a Jean company ( if I read it right). Gap jeans fit me really well. Some of the more expensive brands just don't fit my body, and I have tried.

here is the blog post the PP mentioned: http://www.graspingforobjectivity.com/2012/07/gap.html. definitely worth a read. i enjoyed it very much.

i wear Gap jeans, but i know they aren't flattering, don't fit after 30 minutes of wear, and (though relatively inexpensive) aren't good value because they don't hold up well.

Gap outlet: $25, if you are either over size 8 or under size 2. They usually have nice stuff but never in my size....

I lived in Old Navy clothes postpartum. Also, I've seen some Lucky jeans at Costco for around $30 recently.

Thanks all. i just ordered 3p old navy and 2p american eagle--hopefully at least one will work for until i get back to skinny. If not, will try Gap, the sexy boyfriend look cute.

I am afraid of looking "mom" but right now I wearing yoga clothes every day and it's not okay.

Not so sure about Old NAvy and Gap - saw a hilarious blog about how they are gateway Mom jeans - with pictures comparing. I would try Nordstrom Rack or OffSaks with their 30% coupon.

Am i the 5th vote for Old Navy? LOVE them. Most flattering jeans for me.

I like the sweetheart line - I wear a size 12 short (so I'm not skinny) but everything in the sweetheart line (skinny, bootcut) works great for me.

And if you'll only need them for a while postpartum, you can't beat it.
