Ok so the reason ive liked tinted moisturizer is because its pretty dummy proof to apply, and i like how light it feels.

The reason i gave up traditional foundation is because they feel too heavy on my skin, and they are a pain to apply.

I still need a moisturizer under my tinted moisturizer. As i get older, i feel i may need lightly more coverage, but im not really willing to go back to a traditional foundation.

Does it sound like a bb cream would be right for me?

I found smashbox to be a little too thick and Dr Jart is so pale color I couldn't use it year round. Plus they both had a weird smell. This one from Estee Lauder smells lovey and has great coverage. I have also used Mircle Skin Transformer but I like the coverage of the EL BB better.

You don't need a sponge, it's a waste of money IMO. They absorb more product that you use, they're hard to wash, so you have to replace them at least weekly, and definitely don't buy the Sephora ones, just buy from CVS or something if you do it. Use your clean hands or a foundation brush (I like the airbrush kind).

Totally agree that you don't need to spend a lot of money on this product. Garnier or Lorleal is good enough

I really like it for the way it feels and smells, but you aren't going to get a lot of coverage with this. Also, it's pretty shiny (which i guess is kind of in right now). Since my skin is very dry, I love that aspect of it. I still wear some powder over it.

loreal one got great reviews in a magazine by dermatologists-- i bought that one and am happy with it.

It fits the bill.

This has me intrigued. I use Bobbi Brown's tinted moisturizer, but I swear I cannot tell the difference.

I want something to even out my skin, but not a heavy foundation.

Does this fit the bill? Or is it more like foundation?

I've tried the Garnier and the Loreal and the Loreal is a winner. I'm very fair and the Garnier just did not blend well for me. Loreal works great and my skin tone is definitely more even.

I use the clinique BB cream and I like it. I stopped using it in July when it was getting really hot and humid and my skin was getting so much sun (and that's with 60 spf) that the color of the BB cream didn't match anymore and I also just didn't need much makeup. But when the weather cools off and my color fades back to it's winter shade, I plan to go back to it. To me it just feels like a nice, tinted moisurizer, but I like it much better than laura mercier's tinted moisturizer in terms of texture. I do agree you really have to rub it in so that it doesn't feel wet and goopy on your face. Clinique hasn't made me break out, and I have pretty sensitive skin.
