Not to mention how irrelevant this is, since he didn't have any influence on the President, who didn't even grow up with his father


I view the initial post of this thread as unnecessary and irrelevant to anything going on in the world, but I also think his dad's absence has influenced President Obama desire to have a meaningful presence in his daughters' lives. He seems to be a very caring dad who has great relationships with his daughters.
