I thought Obama's speech was solid but the convention as a whole was FANTASTIC. I don't remember being so inspired by a convention ever before.

There was solid information in Obama's speech, namely that he is running on his record and the Democratic philosophy of government of, by, and for the people (as originated by that great President who would be a Democrat today), rather than on the apology that Mitt wants him to make.

Apology for the fact that he did not manage to overcome unrelenting GOP obstructionism?

both conventions were a waste of money, both speeches were full of the same crap we all heard beofre. a 7th grader could have written all those speeches. Very predictable, dumbed down and then the families coming out. stupid. just walk off stage and be done.

PP's - it's better to run on your record. His economic record in particular is pathetic at best. No one is "betting against America." That is just more campaign nonsense for the masses. The guy is a loser but the only problem is so is Mittens so enjoy the next four years of penny pinching and cutting back. You deserve all the hope in the world.

The President could read the phone book on live TV and it would sound better than anything the R's say.

I don't think it's sad. It's a once in a lifetime experience. I bet it was incredible!

One of the best nights of your life? How sad.

Yeah you are right. It is better to run on dispair and hopelessness. It is better to run on "betting against America". That's the message, America is sinking. That is what the other guy is running on, and you like that better.

Let's get this straight -- There is nothing wrong with hoping for a better tomorrow. Secondly, who in the world would make hope a dirty word?

Flat speech? Compared to? His 2008 convention speech? Or, are you comparing O's to Mitt's?...

I am "sobbing on my couch" for the way the elected delegates sitting inside that convention center were treated during the vote to amend the platform. Isn't it better to respect the process than overthrow it if you get blow-back? The damage was done when God was omitted from the platform and Jerusalem was not stated to be the Capital of Israel. The damage was amplified when the way it was mishandled and then covered-up by Ms. Wasserman Schultz, Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Schumer and Rahm Emanuel. What a disgrace to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country whose greatest export has been our democratic ideals. Machiavellian. Makes me sick.

God, I'm so jealous of you! I wanted to be there, along with my 5yr old.

Fantastic convention. Don't know if conventions matter these days, we'll see. But the GOP was amateur hour in comparison.
