Very active fraternity culture. Division 1 sports, which gives it a somewhat different feel than the D3 SLACS. 20 mins from Hamilton but I gather there is not much interaction between the two. Was my DCs first choice.
???
Colgate and Hamilton are basically right up against each other. The college bookstore is in Hamilton. DC and I walked from our hotel right in the middle of the town to the campus and it took 5, maybe 10 minutes.
Hamilton College, not the town of Hamilton. But thanks for the three question marks.

This is a wonderful place to become an adult. The professors and administrators care about you. There is a diverse student body. There are infinite ways to become involved on campus, and plenty of options for where to live/eat/study/play.
Also, Colgate has a much prettier campus than Hamilton College
I graduated in 1994 and would say almost the exact same things as PP.
. That said, I loved the campus when I visited. I went to Bucknell instead and was very happy there. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It would only be a safety for students who are serious contenders for top 10 schools. Typical SAT scores are around 700 per section.
2100 without a serious hook does not make you a serious contender for a top 10 school these days unless you are hella lucky.
The point was that only kids who were serious contenders (I.e. scores much better than 700 per section) could consider a school with average scores around 700 a "safety".
