Thank you PP, there was a poster on the other thread that was like "EVERYONE looks good in skinny jeans just try them". I have tried them, they don't work for short and curvy, they just make me look fatter than I already am! Have you not seen heavy women wearing skinny jeans, lady? It's not good.

Too bad, PP! A poster on the Fashion Peeve Thread just told us skinny jeans are here to stay and we all should get with the program, one way or the other.

Oh well, I've never been one to be up on the latest fashion.

Never been strict to 'what's in'! What's more important is 'what looks good on YOU'! Women sometimes look like complete idiots following ugly trends. I like skinny jeans--but couldn't do them back in the mid-80s when they were out...they even had zippers at the ankle--remember those Guess ones?! I was 15 and thin, but a serious soccer player. Muscular thighs and skinny jeans don't mix.

Just don't do it. There are very stylish jeans that aren't skinny--that you can find. You just adapt the fashions that are out that work for you--and pass on the ones that don't. Fashion is about looking good, having your own style and not relgiously following the pack.

These are my everyday jeans. I like that they keep their shape and don't stretch out too much. I don't find them super-flattering because the legs are too wide to be skinny but not flared enough to really lengthen my legs.

I liked my Gap and Old Navy jeans until I read this:

Now I wear Express ones. They are more flattering for sure.

J Brand and Paige are fantastic for curves and muscles (I work out a lot and have a hard time with too skinny, as my legs are pretty solid). They seem to have a bit more give.

My favorites are actually from either Forever 21 or from Brass Plum at Nordstrom. Yep, teen stores, but they fit my body better. They don't sag or bag out.

Love Madewell skinny skinny. They have a perfect middle rise--not too low, not too high.

If you're on Facebook and "like" Gap they have coupons for 30% off once in a while. I think you have to use them in the store most of the time though (they will order your size if they don't have it in stock).

Like one of the PPs, I also like J Brand and Ann Taylor Loft modern slim or modern skinny jeans. I am 5'3 and I LOVE that the Loft petite jeans fit me off the rack. I have tried far more expensive brands, and I keep reaching for my Loft jeans!!
