Never been strict to 'what's in'! What's more important is 'what looks good on YOU'! Women sometimes look like complete idiots following ugly trends. I like skinny jeans--but couldn't do them back in the mid-80s when they were out...they even had zippers at the ankle--remember those Guess ones

Just don't do it. There are very stylish jeans that aren't skinny--that you can find. You just adapt the fashions that are out that work for you--and pass on the ones that don't. Fashion is about looking good, having your own style and not relgiously following the pack.
