I blame my Italian heritage for the random hair.
Mine went away last year, during the postpartum hair loss stage. I hope that it never returns!

My first black hair grew out of a scar on my chin. Zapped it, and the ones that followed over the years, with a home electrolysis kit. Have never had problems with cancer or pre-cancerous lesions.

I can usually feel the stray hairs before I notice them in the mirror. Hope that I catch them before anyone else notices. Probably started getting them in college. I'm 41 now and they haven't gotten significantly worse, if that is any consolation.
Good tweezers are SOOOO worth it. Tweezerman are pretty good. The ones I love (and paid a small fortune for, maybe $60 bucks?) are even better and have been in heavy use for more than a decade now without sharpening. Unfortunately I have no recollection of the brand.
I do remember feeling a bit better about it when a college team mate had the same issue.

I have one random thick, black hair that grow out of my chin. I hate it. It pops up about every now and then and I look for it so it doesn't grow out to be that dreaded 1+ inch and shock me. It happened once and will NEVER happen again. NEVER. I'm 36 and it came about a year ago.

About every 5-7 days I have to sit down under a bright light with a magnifying mirror and a tweezer and spend about a half hour plucking my chin, neck and cheekbones.
In my mid to late 20's it was like a few chin hairs. Now? If I didn't pluck I would have a huge beard.
