Manor Montessori is a wonderful school and is probably close to you if GAS is close. Their Trinity location is in the church on Old Georgetown Rd across the street from Tilden Middle School. Our child went there for 2 yrs PreK and K before moving on to a local private.

I had the impression Harbor is very different from Green Acres. I am curious to know what matters when the majority of parents look for a pre-k program. In my case, I was very specific about wanting a progressive program either Reggio-Emilia inspired or similar. Green Acres is not Reggio Emilia inspired, it actually has some traditional undertones and I was a bit hesitant choosing it over Lowell's PK. We ended up choosing GAS and we were very happy with our choice. The ECU unit there is indeed very special. Still I never found it totally Progressive compared to a Reggio inspired School but they do things in a different way and the teachers were truly good hearted educators. We had to move, so DC didn't try 1st grade or beyond.

We toured Harbor and Green Acres and chose Green Acres. My child has been at Green Acres since PreK and we couldn't be happier with the school. The early childhood unit is very special.
