We have good friends who just converted to Orthodox Judaism - husband, wife and 2 y.o. plus baby in utero. It took them approx 1.5 years of study. Prior to their interest in Judaism, they were proselytizing on the Vegas strip for Jesus and planning to open a fundamentalist church.

Didn't you watch Sex and the City? Yes, you can convert to Judaism. However, I don't think the man the OP is talking about actually converted - his mom was Jewish so he was always a Jew.

No one was forcing you to answer my question. You didn't even have to leave a mean spirited reply, believe it or not. I'm smiling at your last comment because I'm not Christian or even a woman, so thanks. I was always under the impression that Judaism was almost the exact opposite of evangelical Christianity-they couldn't care less about converting people. But I'm obviously uninformed.
