Small things -- leaving my 30th birthday present from my parents in a cab (apparently they were expensive diamond earrings)

PP here- And I wish I had more confidence in high school, and TRIED to be more social (go to prom, homecoming, etc.) I was NOT an outcast, simply "shy" and did not know how to make friends very well at the time. That said, when college came, I was SO ready to be social (sorority, bars--Syracuse U "party school")... and did not look back at the time. As I get older, though, I wish I had the same good memories from high school that I had in college. High school is tough for most everyone so I try not to beat myself up about it.

Not taking better care if my teeth.

Law school. I should have been a journalist. Hated the law so much, now I stay home.

My tattoo. I H.A.T.E. it. On my shoulder. So tacky. I've done a few treatments to get it removed, but it is painful and expensive.

As a single AMA TTC'er, I would have tried adoption before doing multiple failed fertility procedures over the past 5 years. Though, if I had, I may not have done all the great traveling I have done in that time, and will not have the baby I was meant to have (in the future,) and at least I know I tried! It WILL happen the way it is supposed to (IMO).

Poor career choice is definitely #1. I went into the WRONG field (Marketing) which is not a good fit for my personality. I spent so many years trying to make it work, but because my heart wasn't in it I never tried or cared to advance thru the ranks. Now I'm a SAHM over 40 and dreading going back to work. I don't feel like I have any prospects or ambition. Would love to go back to school but it's not practical or financially feasible.

Dated too many losers. Didn't study hard enough or do any extracurricular activities in college. No major regrets, knock on wood.

I don't know. It's easy to have regret, but I think it's a trap. I made mistakes, lots of them, but I've learned from them. The beauty of really making a mistake and actually owning up to it, is you can say, that is over, and I will never do that again.

Not going to the USA on a work and travel program when I was in college
Having a child at what seemed the right moment then, but eventually ruined my career- should have waited a bit
Not being confident enough to try to get what I wanted

I feel ambivalent about the decision to go to grad school. My current position doesn't require my degree and makes more money than I could have ever down a traditional path with my degree. Essentially I wasted 1/2 a decade and 500K.

Thing about it is that it's over and done with. I don't regret it because what is the point? Yes, it sucks, but I'm happy where I am today and that is the take away.

OP, if you are not happy with something today then maybe you should think about what it would take to get to a better place.

Not getting a decent profession like an IT specialist or accountant or HR. Dating my first. Falling a victim to a scammer once (lost my watch and had sex with him, apparently was hypnotized!)
Not traveling enough (though I s till travelled a lot)
Staying with my then future husband despite red flags
Having a child with him

Going to the college I went to/not researching looking into different schools
Not pushing trying to have a baby earlier
